Meeting Reminder
Dear Parents of the Canyon Ridge School PTO...
Please join us for our April PTO meeting TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!
Thursday, April 23rd at 6:30 PM.
Light snacks and refreshing drinks will be served.
Come review and vote on the changes to the Bylaws set in motion by the Bylaw review committee.
It is not too late to show up at the meeting and nominate yourself for a 2009-10 Executive Board Position, OR come and cast your vote for the new Executive Board.

Next PTO Meeting
Our next PTO meeting will be on the 23rd at 6:30 in the library. We will be electing new board members for the 2009-2010 school year. We will also be voting on changes to the PTO bylaws that night.
We are looking for a volunteer to manage our PTO golf website. If anyone is interested please let us know.

Mother and Son Spring Fling Pre-order Tickets Now on Sale
The Mother and Son Spring Fling will be on Wednesday, April 15th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. It will be a fun evening of games and music, complete with a DJ and raffles throughout the evening as well as a basketball shoot out, sports themed carnival games and prizes. There will also be photos and special gifts for mom available for purchase.
Dinner will be provided by Shane's Rib Shack and will include a main entree, side dish, dessert and drink. Presale cost for the evening is $10 for adults and $8 for kids. Tickets will be available at the door that night but will be $2 more for both adults ($12) and children ($10). So to take advantage of the special pre-sale price, please turn in your order form with payment by April 10th.

~ What is PTO doing with funds? ~
The Canyon Ridge PTO holds many events throughout the year to raise funds for different needs at school. This year we are helping to start a Book Room that each teacher as well as every student can benefit from at Canyon Ridge. The Book Room will provide teachers access to a variety of books in an effort to accommodate our students’ wide range of reading levels. PTO is so excited to be able to assist in funding the Book Room.
PTO also funds requests from teachers. We assist teachers with the funds needed to help in a variety of ways. One example is that PTO purchased owl pellets for the first grade. The students loved learning about owls through this “hands on” event.
PTO continues to be successful thanks to our generous parents at Canyon Ridge. We couldn’t do it without your continued support. We invite you to come to our meetings to find out more about the amazing ways we are helping Canyon Ridge remain successful thanks to your donations of time and money.

Book Fair - It's Here!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break and is now excited to jump back into school. To start us off right this week we are welcoming the Book Fair!

Book Fair is Coming!!
It is that time again.... BOOK FAIR is less than 3 weeks away. Set up day is March 16th the Monday after Spring Break. The Book Fair will run Tuesday March 17th through Saturday March 21st. We would love to have your help in making this Spring Book Fair another huge success.
Please take a look at the schedule for the book fair @ http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/crlovesbooks. Here you can see the schedule of events, times open, and sign up to volunteer to help out. Whether you can set up, decorate, supervise and guide children shopping at the book fair, make popcorn for Pop on in to the book fair day, or clean up, etc.
If you cannot help in person but are willing to donate items... we are in need of bagels, cream cheese, and bags of unpopped popcorn. We will need these items delivered on Monday, March 16th. Please email crpto@cox.net to let us know which items you will be bringing in.

Bagels, Popcorn, Lots of movie themed decorations, a "Gotta have that Book" contest, Movie night showing HSM3, a prize drawing to win life size stand up of Chad from HSM3. Special Saturday Grand Event. Classroom donation Challenge for One for Books program. Look for the flyer and details to come home next week.
